It’s a mere two and a half months before Path of Beasts hits the shops and, to celebrate, I’m giving away an advance readers copy (ARC) from Random House in the USA. For those of you who aren’t sure what an ARC is, it’s a paperback edition of the book that hasn’t gone through the final proofread. So there are probably a few mistakes in it, and I know that the third chapter has the wrong title – it’s supposed to be called ‘Bow, Sword and Wolf-Sark’.
But everything else is pretty much as it will be in the final book, including the wonderful character illustrations. And the US edition is identical to the Australian edition, apart from spelling and cover illustration.
So – what do you need to do to win a copy of this thrilling final chapter in the Keepers trilogy? Simply leave a comment on this post. I’ll leave it for a full week to make sure a few people see it, and next Friday I’ll put your names in a hat and draw out the winner. It doesn’t matter where you live – the giveaway is open to anyone, whether in Australia or overseas.

Lian your books are some of the best books I have ever read. I must say that they have best cliff hangers a story could have and a book could never be better. You have acheived the impossible. I looove your books so much, it is hard to find books that I can read as the school library is strict I have read your books so quickly that I have to wait such a long time between books and I just really love them so much. I can’t wait for this one to see what happens. You know the best part – I get to read it with my Mum and Dad so I get to spend more time with them, it is such fun. It is a pity they don’t come out sooner as they always come out just after my birthday. But Mum usually still gets them for me anyway.

Hi Romi, we’ll be having two launches as we did with City of Lies. The Hobart launch will be on Sunday October 14th at the Bahai Centre, and the northern launch will probably be on the following Saturday, which is the 20th – I’m just waiting for confirmation. That one will be at Fullers Launceston. I’m still working on ideas for it – not sure what we’ll do yet – but we might ask people to come disguised as a beast.
It looks as if I might also be going to Melbourne and Sydney – not for proper launches, but just for some promotion at bookshops and schools. Don’t have details of that yet.

Hi Lian, I just love the suspense that the cover suggests, it almost makes me want to shut down the computer so I can’t look at it for fear of my parents grounding me for whining so much! It looks so different from the other books, and I am currently ripping out my hair, I’m so impatient! (Don’t worry, not literally!) I don’t care if I don’t get an early copy, I just HAVE to get a copy! Oh thank you thank you thank you for writing these books!

It’s rating very high on my favourite list at the moment, and I think it really captures the sense of adventure in book 3, and how amazing Goldie has become.
