LIAN TANNER

The competition – first entries

February 8th, 2012

Hooray, I’ve just received the first two entries for the Keepers competition. They’re both from children who have imagined what a quignog might look like. One is a written entry and one is drawn, and I must say they are both pretty exciting. I’d love to put them up, and will do so when the competition closes.

In the meantime, get to work on those entries, folks!

It’s always nice to hear from another bookworm, Erin, especially when that person is such a big fan. Thanks for your lovely message – that is very sad to think of you being empty lian tanner book handed. 😀 I hope you will be pleased to hear that there IS a third book in the series. It’s called Path of Beasts and it will be out at the end of September. It’s the final book in the trilogy, and I think it is pretty exciting. I hope you agree when you read it!

  2. Shannon says:

are you making a movie for the keepers

    1. Lian says:

Hi Shannon, I’m an author, not a film producer or director, so I don’t make movies. All I can do is hope that a director or producer will read the books and love them, and decide to make a movie out of them. Wouldn’t that be exciting!

  3. Shannon says:

Yes it would and I would most definly get it

  4. Hannah says:

It would be sooooo cool if the Keepers Trilogy became a movie!!!! I hope some producer wants to make your exciting series into a movie!!!!

  5. Shannon says:

    Same with me

  6. Lily says:

    A movie would be awesome!

  7. Maia says:

Somebody should definitely make a movie of The Keepers. It’s my most favourite book ever!!!

    1. Lian says:

Hello Maia! I’m glad you like the Keepers so much. Have you read all three books yet? I must admit that I would very much like to see a movie of the trilogy.

  8. Jack says:

If there was a movie, then it would probably come out famous since the trilogy is so good and everyone would love it. Of course that’s because it is EXPERT WRITING!!! P.S.:I have read all three books and practically started crying in the sad bit of Path Of Beasts (HINT HINT:Double).

    1. Lian says:

Oh Jack, I really love getting messages like yours. I’m glad you nearly cried at the sad part of PoB, because I just about cry at that bit too, every time, even though I wrote it. I’m really glad you like the books so much too – and a movie would be so very very cool if it ever happened. No nibble so far, however, so we might just have to settle for the movie in our own heads – but then that one is probably better than anything a movie producer could make!

  9. Jack says:

OMG! I am talking to one of my three favourite authors right now!!! =0

    1. Lian says:

🙂 🙂 Now I’m curious about who the other two are.

  10. Jack says:

    Suzanne Collins and Emily Rodda

    1. Lian says:

Oh yes, they’re high on my favourites too. I’m feeling in excellent company here. 🙂

  11. Jack says:

    Thank you for your time.

  12. Jack says:

P.S.: I am doing a school assignment about an author we like and mine is YOU!!!=) One of the tasks is what the author’s next book should be about. This is what I said:

Lian Tanner’s next book (series) should definitely be about a young man (or woman) escaping their worst nightmare. They should meet up with a strange group of friends who risk their lives to save them. When the couple live with them and find out how strange their lives are.
But when the friends find out how dangerous it is to look after this couple, thing get tricky, and problems and coincidences start occurring . . .

You should do really well in that idea 🙂

    1. Lian says:

What an interesting task to be set. And what a cool answer, Jack. Maybe YOU should write this book instead of me!
