Aurealis Award Shortlist – and White Ravens
March 22nd, 2011
Does anyone here know what the White Ravens are? Nope, me neither. At least, I’d never heard of them until today. Apparently, every year, the International Youth Library in Munich, Germany, selects newly published books that they consider to be especially noteworthy. They announce this list at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair, which is on right now in Bologna, Italy.
And Museum of Thieves has been selected as a White Raven!
Much closer to home, Museum has also been shortlisted in the Children’s Fiction category of the Aurealis Awards. These awards are for works of fantasy, science fiction and horror by an Australian author. Other finalists in this category are Grimsdon (Deborah Abela), Ranger’s Apprentice #9: Halt’s Peril (John Flanagan), The Vulture of Sommerset (Stephen M Giles) and Haggis MacGregor and the Night of the Skull (Jen Storer and Gug Gordon).
What a nice day!
Well done!
And have I mentioned how awesome this site is?
