Claudia Black reading the first two books
June 19th, 2012
I’ve just found these very nice readings on YouTube, of Claudia Black reading extracts from Books 1 and 2 of The Keepers. Here’s the beginning of Museum of Thieves.
And here’s the beginning of City of Lies.
I think she does the intro and the first chapter in each one, though I haven’t listened all the way through as I’m champing at the bit to get back to writing Frozen – WHICH IS NEARLY FINISHED!!! (That state of affairs deserves capital letters.)
Hope you enjoy the readings.
I listened to the first book and she did a really good job at reading it. I love to listen to her reading it.
She’s good, isn’t she, Hannah. I was listening to a bit of Museum yesterday, and I love the way she does Morg.
Hi! I read the museum of thieves about a year ago and pestered my librarians about when they would get the ciy of lies. I almost drove them mad! I just started and finished the book yesterday and was happily surprised that you met my expectations after the 1st book (not many authors do). I am adding a review to my little cite right after I post this so I hope you go see the review @ http://www.brookesbooksblog.com! I don’t think I will wait for the library to get this one, I am a little no WAY too impatient to wait so I will save all my b-day money to buy it the day it comes out!
P.S:I love how you reply to everyone’s posts!
Hi Brooke, lovely to hear from you! I am deeply relieved that City of Lies wasn’t a disappointment after the first book – I know what you mean about the second book sometimes not living up to expectations. (I was terrified when City came out, in case no one liked it!) I hope you like Path of Beasts just as much (if not more).
I just had a look at your website but it looks as if you haven’t put the review up yet. Very nice site, by the way. And I love the picture of your dog. I’m now going to try some of the Vampirates books, which I’ve never read, so thanks for the recommendation.
Hey sorry it’s http://www.brookesbookblog.com
Yes, I worked that out!
I could listen to her reading a telephone directory, but hearing her reading good literature is truly a pleasure.
Hmm, not sure if she does telephone directories … I’ll check. 😀
Yay Frozen is nearly finished!
