Design Awards

May 20th, 2011

The Australian Publishers Book Design Awards were announced last night, and Museum of Thieves was Highly Commended in the Children’s Fiction Book category. The winner in this category was Midnight Zoo, designed by Tony Palmer and written by Sonya Hartnett. I haven’t read it yet, but it looks really interesting so I’ll have to check it out.

In the meantime, big congratulations to Josh Durham of Design by Committee, who was responsible for the Museum of Thieves cover, along with Sebastian Ciaffaglione who did the illustration.

Incidentally, I’ve just discovered (thanks to Romi who drew my attention to it :)) that the comments button hasn’t been working. So if you’ve been trying to leave a comment, and just getting an error message, try again. It should be okay now.
