Frozen – the publisher’s verdict
July 11th, 2012
I said I’d tell you what my Australian publishers thought of the Frozen manuscript. Well, I got an email from them this morning, and to quote my editor: “I absolutely loved it. My overall impression is one of fabulousness.’
Isn’t that nice? I am now a happy bunny. There will be editing to do on it, of course – there always is – but that’s a little way off and I can ignore it for now. I’m just pleased that the book will come out in Australia/NZ in October 2013.
Haven’t yet tried it in the American market because they are all off on their summer break. So that’s another hurdle to jump. But I’m ignoring that one too, for now. π
I wonder if the Australians will get Seb Ciaffaglione to do the illustrations again. I love his character drawings so much, and my writing style and his drawing style seem to go well together. I’m off to Melbourne next week for a visit, so I might ask them.
Oh yes, and when I come back from Melbourne, I’m going to do a couple of giveaways of the advance reader’s copy of Path of Beasts. So keep your eyes peeled!
=D yeah!
Very interested to see what Frozen is about, you’ve done a good job of keeping things mysterious.
Well done lian. I can’t wait to find out what it is about and read it π
Lian you are just TOO awesome. The suspention keeps me excited and on edge but it also annoys me alot. Can you atleast tell us one charecters name? Minor or main I don’t care but please . . . just one simple name?
Annoyed, Lily? Dear me, we can’t have that! Okay, the main girl’s name is Petrel. Can’t tell you the main boy’s name, as he doesn’t have one …
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH! I WANT TO READ IT EVEN MORE!!!!!!
If thats possible π
